O.K. I've had a set of PowerGlide tools for several years now and the tools work fine, the batteries work fine, however the charger is useless. After two years the charger's transformer overheated and died, I considered buying a new charger from Ace Hardware but all the reviews indicate that the charger's transformer is simply flawed and will continue to burn out. On the battery it specifies that it should only be charged with the Power Glide charger (and transformer) which puts out 22v DC 500mA, but I have a similar transformer that puts out 18v DC 400mA. So, any electricians (or electrical engineers) out there, is it o.k. to use the lower power transformer or should I try to find a transformer that puts out the same voltage and amperage?

Hi, there are three terminals on top of a dewalt 18v battery. I believe the left one is negative the right is positive but what it the middle one? Is it also a negative? Or a ground? Thanks

One day it was holding a charge fine, next the orange light on the charging unit was lit.
Is there a test for these type of batteries?

I've seen that recommended accessories also include the Dunlop ECB-04 Barrel 18V Adapter but i was wondering if this is indeed the right adapter so i don't need to keep feeding my wah 9V batteries...

makita drill question?

hi I am about to buy a makita (are they good drills by any chance?) drill, the compact ones. I noticed the compact Li-ion batteries are 1.5 Ah is it possible to use the other regular Li-ion batteries on the compact makita? like the full size li-ion battery?

it is 18v li ion.
